    Reading Comprehension Made Simple

This video is also part of my evaluation this year.  We needed to do something with reading comprehension.

Well, my favorite part was the test in Chinese; great idea. I think you did a great job presenting strategies. I liked the written intros to each strategy (maybe a voiceover of text for slow readers?). Your narrators did a great job and simplified the process (so you didn't need to get kids doing perfect takes on camera). Couple places I noticed a little camera wiggle; generally I recommend a tripod always unless there's a compelling reason to go handheld. Super.

Very nice Mrs. C! I liked the use of the split screen and the voice overs were good. I also liked the camera being focused on the test and the pencil pointing items out as the narrator talked. My only suggestions is to have some of the kids clean their desks. Your room is a mess! ;-) Just kidding...

I love the split screen, Suzanne. And, a very appropriate topic. This is especially helpful to teachers in our district who are interested in presenting reading strategies in a more interesting way. If you have time (and you probably don't), perhaps you could have the narrator redo her lines so that it doesn't sound like she is reading so much. Overall, nicely done!

Suzanne, this is such a great project! I loved how each strategy was so well explained and presented. This is a very clear and easy to understand topic for your students, and I hope that you can show this to them soon. I loved the narration and the acting was great!

Hi, Suzanne. I really liked several things. The split screen was very effective, as were the screens explaining the concepts. Good voiceovers. The "Chinese" bit was very funny, and just how kids feel. I liked the reivew at the end, and the musical underscoring. My only constructive criticism would be to bring the volume of the music up at the end for the credits. Well done!e

    Dear Suzanne,
I liked this SOOO much that I shared it with my son's teachers.
It really makes the strategys clear. Do you teach 3rd grade? I would like to know how you bot the split screen. I would like to use it for my next movie! I will email you
