Having finished our curriculum prior to CSTs, students are now working on iMovies, six per class -- six periods. They were given Library of Congress photos of the Civil War, Civil Rights, Manzanar, Slavery, The West, and Immigration, 1880s. Their groups have researched their topic and are preparing either text, voice overs, or a combination of both. Considering that we are just weeks away from the end of school, my students are focused and most are on task with their movies. We plan on having a mini film festival on June 12 of each period's movies.

With regard to the Manzanar movie, I am not happy with the soundtrack; it seems a little too upbeat. But it was the closest music I could find in my SonicFire Pro library without buying something new.
