    Vocabulary Quest

Vocabulary QuestThis project is a description of some activities that help to reinforce vocabulary development during UA time in language arts. I will appreciate all suggestions for improvement. Also would like some help on color correction on a couple of the clips that are a little dark (the two with the boy that is complaining about not being able to remember the words.

Nancy, what a great idea. It gives me a lot of good ideas for vocab activities. I didn't notice any too dark clips. The kids did a great job of saying their lines and I thought the transistions were good. Every once in a while the sound cut off quickly. Maybe that could be a little smoother between clips. But I think its a great video.

Nicely crafted. I liked the pacing; sharp and snappy without being unclear. Lots going on. Your kids did a great job with narration (which helped simplify putting this together). Camera composition was generally good (rule of thirds, etc.). I liked your student fade-in in the beginning. I agree the audio is clipped in a couple of spots, but the quality is good. I saw no glaring dark shots to color correct (although I think color correcting every shot will help everyone). Nice work.

I love it. I think the transitions are quick which will keep the viewers interest. The kids did a great job!

Nancy, I was very impressed with the job your kids did and would love to use this to show my own students. Excellent ideas!

I liked the fading in at the beginning of the movie and all of the good ideas for kids learning new vocabulary. Good ideas for UA time using the focus wall.

I also enjoyed your film. Nice music selection. I did not see any shots that seemed to dark. Your students spoke clearly. They did an excellent job. I often have trouble getting some of my students to speak loudly and clearly. On the group shot where the students said, "thrilling" and "exciting" you might change the camera angle or word size or position so it does not cover their faces.
