We made this movie using I-Movie and Frames. We used the green-screen capabilities from Frames and transferred it to I-Movie to make the rest. Every week at Mission, the MTV class makes a video for the Positive Action Word of the Week. My video club students decided to make one for the Word of the Week "Goals" and it was featured on our MTV morning announcements. (SCRIPT AND STORYBOARD BELOW)
This Public Service Announcement is explaining the risk that people take when they jaywalk. We've seen many children and adults jaywalking after and before school at Mission, and we decided to make a video showing its consequences. This video also shows students taking action and making the right choice to use the crosswalks.
PSA: Recycling
Why Should You Start a Recycling Program at Your School?
It opens with a student taking a gulp from a water bottle. As s/he goes to throw it away into the “trashcan,” it turns into dollar bills being thrown away.
Then, we film the process of starting a recycling program at your school (how to get a recycling bin, collecting it, separating & crushing it).
It ends with an assembly line of students (in different locations): one student throws an aluminum can into a recycling bin, the recycling bin gets thrown and it turns into a bag in the next scene, the bag gets thrown and it turns into money in the next scene.
Message: “Recycling is not only good for the environment, but it is also a great fundraiser for you school!”
