The purpose of this project is for the kids to make slides to teach vocabulary necessary to improve their MAPS scores. Each student will make 3 slides. The slides will show the word, definition, sentence, and a picture. Kids will do voice overs of the written text. I am getting the vocabulary from the MAPS DesCartes.

The vocabulary work should be helpful; do you have some component in mind for assessing reading comprehension for this project (the projects are supposed to focus on that). Obviously, you need vocabulary to comprehend, but if there was some way they could exhibit their comprehension. I suppose the picture could be done in such a way as to show understanding of the definition. I like having the written text underscored with voice over (are you going to use built-in recording in Keynote or use Audio Recorder?

Do you already have Audio Recorder installed on the computers you are going to be using? If not, you'll need to put in a WHD ticket to have it installed on the computers. Select Administration > ETT Support/Staff Development. Be sure to include the room numbers for the machines.

I am planning on using the built-in recording on keynote--but maybe I should get Audio Recorder installed anyway. I have ideas how to show this will help with comprehension.
