    Identifying Idioms

This gave the students a chance to experience with claymation. We have been learning about idioms in both Language Arts and ELD, so they wanted to explore this a bit more.

Really liked the claymation with the voice-overs to show idioms. Great job overall with a complete story. Could be tightened up a bit (cut out extra footage not crucial) - for example, in the crack me up sequence, I don't think you needed to run through the joke twice.

I love the content! What a crucial topic to address using visual media. Thanks for the project idea. I love the sped-up music.

Nice work. I bet the kids loved using the clay. We also did idioms, but drew our animations. I thought your two actors were excellent.

Monica, your kids did a great job. I loved the mix of actors and animation. Do I hear Lincoln Movie Festival? Julie

Monica, I liked the animation that your students did in the movie. Idioms are difficult for both adults and students that are second language learners. Great job. Lebrac

The kids did a great job with the claymation. Your choice of music was perfect. Now we have two movies to help students explore the meaning of idioms. The student actors did a very nice job especially the girl with the curly pony tail in the first scene.

Cute way to present idioms--clamation is a great "buy-in" to get children excited about idioms!
