In my class we worked on a
Vocabulary Keynote from the Houghton-Mifflin selection, “Katie’s Trunk”. The students first found the
definitions of the vocabulary words from the selections. They then created their own Keynote
presentation using the words. Via
iChat I sent them pictures to choose from. For every slide they then wrote a sentence that referenced
the photo using the vocabulary word. This lesson can be used for any grade level above second grade. Our next project will use photos to help the students summarize the story.
