Wow, you're on top of things! This is a great first effort. I really liked the conception, and your kids were great. The group shot at the end was terrific. Two suggestions: I would have framed the kids tighter and have them jam the visual into the camera so they could be seen better. Also, even though I see you used the external mic, the audio was a little soft. Have them practice projection or raise the level in iMovie. Well done.

Laura, nice video project. I think you impart your teaching philosophy so nicely through this short movie. Jen

Laura, great video! The concept of Classroom Community really came through. One suggestion would be to try to conceal the external mic so that we don't see any cables on the student's clothes.

To build on Franks suggestion to raise the volume level in iMovie...

In a movie project with poor audio quality that you don't have time to re-film...If you adjust the volume to 150% and still find that it is too soft; you can select the clip, go editing>audio FX>graphic EQ, and move all the sliders to the top. I've worked with a lot of poor audio and that is a good way to get sound from almost nothing. Please note that there will be some background noise. The best way to get good audio is to monitor it closely while filming and re-shoot scenes that are too quiet.

Great job Laura! Sound needs to be louder and I would of liked to see a close up or something of the objects. Keep it up, it goes faster, maybe not easier, as you go along!

Laura - Nice job! Be sure to check in with your site and Frank in regards to sounds equipment that you can check out. The message would be really crisp and clear if you could hear the kids a little better. Have fun with your next project - it all makes a little more sense as you keep practicing!

I loved message - what a really great thing to teach kids. I like that you give them that bag every year - now you can show them a video to go with it!

Laura, your choice of background music was excellent. It had a haunting quality that complemented your script beautifully. I also loved the way you used the chair. Very effective. Nicely done. Really shows your talent and sensitivity.
