    PSA video

This is close to what I had submitted as the storyboard and script.

This 2nd version below I spent some time doing some more edits and using stock footage.

Jennifer, nice job! The egg analogy worked well. I liked the use of stock footage - it brought the point home a little better. I especially liked the use of the cricket sound effects at the end. A minor suggestion would be to add another second or two to the opening shot on the first version; it was difficult to take in the graphics, title, and read the message below before it switched to the next scene. Overall, very well done.

I loved the addition of the money. Our kids "get" that! I agree with a little more time in the opening scene. Also, you might want to increase the volume of the "teacher". I too loved the cricket!

You solved your "special effects" problem well. I agree the stock footage was a plus; don't forget to give attribution. Your kids did a very good job; the young man captured middle school ennui. The external mic keeps the audio up front where it belongs, regardless of the camera position, but the camera only records to one channel, so you hear it coming out of only one side (headphones). One solution is to use the Stereo-to-mono adapter we passed out. Super project.

For some reason I could only view the first one...anyhow...I love the idea of your PSA. Students seldom see the connection between school and real life or the future. I would have liked to see/hear what fractions or what you meant by fractions when the pictures came up to really spell it out for the kids. I'll check with Frank and see if there's something else I need to do to view the 2nd version, then get back to you!

Good job. I showed it to my class and they liked it. We talked about the importance of school and how it is important in life. They enjoyed it as much as I did. Great effects.
