This movie was created by a team of second grade students from my class. I am hoping to motivate them to keep trying - that they can be (and are) great readers! This process was actually somewhat frustrating and harder than I imagined it would be! All kinds of things interfered - but we persevered. Jen

Jen,
You certainly inspired a very powerful positive message with your students. Isn't it true that if you believe it, you can achieve it. Nice job!

Hi Jen,
You guys did an awesome job!! Your students looked very motivated and it showed in your video. The transitions you used were very effective. One suggestion is to watch what's in the background when filming. I could see the reflection of the florescent lights in the background.

Sounds like you've inherited the perseverance you're trying to instill in them! You did a great job of using the camera; interesting shots that helped tell the story. Good inspirational music for the background, but in a few places it competes with your kids. Better too low than too high. Super job.

I loved your little guys. How cute are they. The shots of them reading are great. Even though it is kind of loud, I like the music. Especially in the beginning it makes us feel like the kids dread reading tests (which I'm sure they do!). Great job.

Jennifer, I bet this motivated the students and encouraged self esteem in reading. Nice choice. The music in the beginning was a little loud. It was hard to hear the students at first. It might have been nice to add strategies that made them great readers. That way it's a teaching movie as well. Kim

Hey Jen,
Great movie. I love it when kids say something great about themselves instead of self deprecation. Super pacing, too. Connie

Nice Job Jennifer! Good camera angles, but maybe you could get closer or adjust sound when they were reading! It's always a little frustrating because we have a picture in our minds on how we want it to look, but your kids did great and you're on your way!
