Thank you for all the constructive comments. We worked a lot on the audio this weekend- your suggestions were all very helpful. I think our movie is as finished as it's going to get. I don't think I could get the kids to watch it (or listen to it) one more time. We've all pretty much memorized the lines:)


I can not figure out how to burn the disk that needs to be turned in. It always comes out a mess. The audio's out of sync, the picture is fuzzy, etc. I've tried dv and avi. Any suggestions???

This is a movie made by the boys in Room 15. It's kinda cheese-y, but they love it. My neighbor and her class hated me while we were filming- you'll see why.

A Persuasive Letter

Change of plans!!! Due to the plague (Bronchitis) that tore through my class, our rain forest movie fell apart and is still incomplete.

During a recent computer lab experience, my students were filmed using persuasive writing vocabulary. This activity has evolved over the last month into what we think is a cute video. In fact, we plan to send it to the White House.


Please help my students by sending back critical advice and editing tips.

My students and I have decided to change our pitch. We will create a PSA about reading. Our PSA will incorporate our HVMS motto, "Read to Achieve." The story will be about a boy who doesn't want to read a book. In the end everyone gets together (classmates, teachers, literacy coach, librarian, etc.) to get him to read a book. In the end he learns to "Read to Achieve!"
