That is a very heavy topic. I am assuming this is part of the History curriculum. I think there needs to be more of a conclusion to the movie. The ending is too light for the actual topic. An idea I have is maybe including some facts about the Halocaust with some real life historical pictures.

Thanks JoAnn. We just finished a unit on the Holocaust. The boys are going to end with lessons learned.

I agree that it is a heavy subject. I like the idea, though. I think with props and additional covered issues, that they will get their lesson across. They'll probably have to modify their script some to fit.

I agree with everyone about the seriousness of the topic. I think there could be more dialog that teaches the facts of the Holocaust. Some of the script is a bit harsh for my taste, but I'm also at the elementary level. This topic has a lot of possibilities, Good Luck:)

The boys have finished the video. I think they had fun and also learned about the holocaust. I think the audio needed improvement. But our wireless mic broke.

Wow. They were able to get their point across well. I agree the sound was a little hard to hear at times (funny... our wireless mics broke too). The acting was great. Kudos for taking on such a big topic.

The changes worked very well. The boys added the "knowledge/info" component nicely. Still a heavy topic. I agree that some of the audio wasn't that great, but it didn't take much away from the overall message.

It's really tough to challenge that topic. I think the opening would have benefitted with some close-ups and better sound. The boys look like they enjoyed making the movie. Ending was a little abrupt.

Yep, dark topic, but I don't think any boundaries were crossed. Liked your "steadicam" shot in the library. If you absolutely must use the on-camera mic, you'll get the best results if you're closer to the source. Don't use the zoom, move in closer. Literally, every inch helps.
