Gayle, I think the "boys" will have a good time with this project. It's relative to their lives. They might want to add more information to their script, but often that happens as the movie is put together (even though it's all supposed to be done ahead of time:)

Poignant topic - One that certainly needs to be addressed. With some clever camera angles this could be very interesting visually.

That "1-in-3" stat is truly scary; great topic for a project. Does this play into Science Standards? If not, really push the script development as Language Arts in your iVIE application. If you have the raw data, you could build your graphs to animate in Keynote and export them as movies for use in your iMovie project. Let me knwo if that's something you want to pursue.
