PSA Announcement
America is Drowning in Plastic Bottles
I want to produce a PSA about “America’s Addiction of Plastic Bottles”.Water bottles in particular.I have collected a lot of information about water, recycling and plastic.I want to challenge students, teachers and parents in EUSD to use fewer plastic bottles.
I will first provide information about the number of plastic bottles we use.
Americans throw away over 2.5 million bottles per HOUR.
I will provide information about recycling.
Only 24 % of plastic bottles in the US are recycled.
I will give information about producing, packaging, transporting, and recycling 8.3 billion gallons of bottled water per year.
I will give information about alternatives to water bottles. I will provide suggestions about other water containers. These water sources and containers are clean, convenient, and better for people and the earth.
I plan on filming in stores, at school and in homes.I will use students to assist on camera, in the filming, and production phases of this announcement.
