Here is the finished movie, but still a work in progress as you will tell. My students and I had a hard time matching the green screen shots with the background shots. Sometimes the background would start without the green screen shot, or vice versa. Sound was also a bit off in some scenes because they were shot at the wetlands location. We also did some panning, but the shots were not smooth at all, so we took stills of the shots to include in the movie. I need to learn the proper technique so I can teach it to my students.

Wow! How timely was that? I love the end when they bring up off-shore drilling...your students are even smarter than our government and the executives at BP! (sorry, not trying to be controversial, but am sickened by the current oil spill issue)
By the way, I liked the stills and how they zoomed slowly. The scenery they chose was beautiful, and that really accentuates the message.

Elvi, You have such great ideas. I didn't see a green screen issue myself. I used Final Cut Pro for my green screen. It works really well. Lighting makes a big difference. Seems light a good bright green works well. Your movie is so timely.

Your students did a great job on the movie. Your green screen was great. Your new video cameras have great resolution. My class enjoyed your class' movie.

Really great information. Kids were really expressive. Looks like they spent a lot of time preparing. To me, most of the green screening was great. The wind noise in the wetlands shots can be reduced if you use a shotgun mic with a "dead cat" ( a wind muff). Minor technical detail. Really nicely done.
