    QAR - PSA

My students were tenacious and fully engaged throughout this project. The editing process was a bit less exhilarating, but very eye opening. We all learned the true meaning of collaboration. . .highs, lows and potholes! Most important, we're anxious for the next project.

Diane - the kids did a great job. The QAR concept is a great idea for a movie. The sounds was a little hard to hear every so often but the kids enunciation was terrific! It really looks like they had a lot of fun putting this together!

I agree your kids did a terrific job (great language practice getting it down this pat). It was a fun concept and I like how you and your class had fun with it (fast motion, etc.) The external mic does a good job of keeping the sound up front, even if the camera is back a bit. But be sure to use the Stereo-to-mono adapter we gave you to blend the two channels together so the sound comes out of the middle, not just the left. Nice project.

Nice Work! The students were very cute... Loved the Q.A.R. princess idea! There was one small part where one of the students was hard to hear, but other than that... GREAT JOB!

In this era of Comprehension Experts I think this is a terrific idea to put into a video. I think it will help students internalize the concept a lot more than just seeing it on paper. You put tons of work and time into it and it shows! Your students did a super job with their script. (Approximately, how many times did they have to do the dialogue?) Excellent work!

Very nice start to your film-making career. You definitely get the idea of taking a difficult concept and helping students own it. I'm very proud of you and your work! Let's figure out how to slow down those credits for our next projects! :-)

Diane, Good job working with this reading strategy. Some of the kids signs were hard to read. You had so much information to share in a short amount of time, and I can tell you used many different filmmaking techniques. Kids did a great job!

I know this is coming very late-but.....
on the opening shot,(besides making it level) cut in to a close up where you had that editing. Also use over the shoulder with the "in the book" characater. We would be able to her sign and it would add depth.
