    Pitch for Newbie Project

    Hi Guys,
I don't have a google doc. so I am sending you my pitch via email. Hope that is okay.

Title #1: Eating a Healthy Snack
Synopsis: A student has the choice of a healthy snack or a junk food snack. The student chooses the junk food. Later, in afternoon Kindergarten class, the student is sleepy while trying to do work. Then gets upset stomach, indigestion, nausea and diarreha (like the pepto bismal commercials). Then the film rewinds to the choice of snacks again and this time the student chooses the healthy snack. In school, the students does his/her work, participates and feels and looks great! The End

Title #2: Irregular Verbs/For ELD Students, especially
Synopsis: The student is given a direction by a fellow student or a teacher, "Get the book". The student gets the book and says, "I got the book!"
The student is given a direction by a fellow student or teacher, "Sit on the rug" The student sits down and says, "I sat down!"
The student is given a direction by a fellow student or teacher, "Let's dig a hole". The students dig a hole in the sandbox and say, "We dug it!"...

    I like them both.
You have much more description in the first, so I can see how that would go. You might look at Julie's Miller's video on that topic.

I think I personally prefer the topic of verbs, because that that is such a huge problem among ELD and we have a lot of ELD. You could have a number of actors, even if they were not all used in the film. It could be very visually effective.

I like the irregular verbs one also. I like the bite-sized examples that could be extendable. You'll need to come up with some device so the audience knows to focus in on the irregular verbs. Without some direction it may go over their heads. But a terrific idea
