Desk Organization

A short video on desk organization done just for fun. You can see the green screen was pulling the green as well as the blue, resulting in a bit of "ghosting."

Figurative Language - Video

This is our finished product. My students entered this into the EYMF. Originally, I gave them the subject and an idea for a video. After extensive brainstorming, they threw out my idea and came up with their own. For this video I was totally hands-off and EVERYTHING in this video is student-done (as you may be able to tell by the "creative" way the content is delivered). They took my advice in some areas but kept anything that they felt strongly about. I am very proud of how they stepped up to the plate with extensive planning, creative filming, and interesting editing.

Figurative Language

We have been working on figurative language for a while and I had 4 students take the lead. After having to put in so much effort into the last movie, I turned it completely over to them and they are doing everything for this movie on their own (ideas, script, casting, planning, etc.). The storyboard and script were 100% student-created, typed, and uploaded. As such, I realize that the script is a bit rough - your feedback is welcomed and appreciated!

College movie

college movie

It has been quite a journey, but here is the latest draft. I apologize for the incorrect movie format, but it was all I could get to download (I hope it plays correctly). The movie is a little long but my class was adamant that everyone have an appearance in the movie (don't know if I'll ever do that again!). We have learned a lot about green screen (mostly how NOT to do it) after shooting it 4 separate times with every student in college cap and gown. They still want to re-shoot it again as it is a little rough, but we are running out of time. There is still work to be done with titles, opening shot length, and especially audio. We will try to import it into Garageband to enhance the sound once all of the video elements are done. Some of my students say they know how to use Garageband so I'll let them run with it.
