I realize these are not even close to IVE quality. However, I feel like my students learned a lot about the content and had fun doing it. It is so very difficult to make IVE movies when you have 185 students. I felt this year, I would rather have all my students make presentations rather than a small group making 1 movie. It was a lot more work- the quality is poor- but ALL my students LOVED creating these presentations and presenting their project to the class.

Add some live footage and you could have a great movie. Nice choice of music.

Perhaps you could try setting up a camera and having a student do an on camera reading of the main points on their slides and start it off with a brief introductory sentence. Then in iMovie, you could extract the voice and paste that over the visuals so there would be video footage of their introduction and then a voiceover of their ideas.
