Shocking Weather

Today a shocking thing had happened. We were doing our work on "Sarah, Plain and Tall" when suddenly "BOOM!" thuder had clapped. Everyone outside our class was screaming. We looked outside there was nothing. We went inside "BOOM!" the thunder clapped once more. We used our iPods to look the weather for today. When we were done the sun shone bright. What weird weather!

Sarah Plain and Tall 1-3

"Sarah Plain and Tall" is about two children named Anna & Caleb and they live with their Dad. Their mother had died when she gave birth to Caleb. Caleb is a curious boy who asks a lot of questions. Papa made an advertisement for a wife on the mail order. Sarah wanted to get married with Papa. She came in the Spring in her yellow dress and bonnet. She had gifts for Anna & Caleb from her home. I hope that Sarah will stay and live with Anna, Caleb, and Dad.

A Poem about me.

Alondra Refugio
Nice, artistic, and smart.
Sibling of parents.
Lover of family.

If...

If I were a color, I would be blue.
If I were ice cream, vanilla.
If I were a smell, I would be tamales.
If I were a sport, I would be soccer.
If I were an object, I would be an i pod.
If I were an insect, would be a butterfly.
If I were a job, I would be an artist.
If I were a mood, love.
If I were a word, I would be joyfull.
If I were a soda, I would be Sprite.
If I were a number, I would be ten.
If I were a teacher, I would be great.
If I were a machine, I would be an iPod.
If I were a parent, I would be a mom.
If I were a cat, I would be nice.
If I were a book, I would be Twilight.
Who am I?

I am a Poem

I am poem.
I wonder great.
I hear noise.
I see animals.
I want love.

I pretend that I can fly.
I feel the softness in my pillow.
I touch my hair.
I worry about the world.
I cry when a person dies.
I am poem.

I understand feelings.
I say I care.
I dream of peace.
I try not to cry.
I hope for greatness
I am poem.

Who am I ?

My Tangram

Tangrams are part of an ancient Chinese game in which you must use seven different shapes into making an animal or person. My Tangram is a Rabbit. It is said that it's foot gives you plenty of luck. When it jumps past you luck will spread. So when you ever see a rabbit, get as close as you can. Rabbits are sure lucky animals.

Owl Pellet Report

Owls are very mysterious birds. We got to be scientists and observed an owl pellet.
The first thing we thought was in the owl pellet was a rat and a bird. We thought it was a bird and a rat because there were feathers and a patch of fur sticking out of the pellet. It was very strange from the rest of the pellets because there were feathers and fur out of the pellet. The color was greyish with some copper. It was 4.cm long and 3.cm wide. It ate a bird and a mole and with lots of ribs.
We found lots and lots of ribs. Then we dug more into the pellet and found a very fragile skull. We daly the pieces of the pellet and found lots of vertabraes. Alltogether we found 170 bones. There were 2 skulls and four jaw bones. It was very interesting learning more about Owls and what they eat.

Math

In math I need practice on fractions. I need help on it because it is tough for me to understand it. I am going to practice because practice makes perfect and I will get better. All this will help me in fifth grade. I am looking forward to it. This type of math will help me in the future.

California Missions

Missions are tall, wide, and interesting buildings. They once were great and beautiful for anyone. The people who lived there were Father Serra, the Neophite Indians, and other workers. They also helped the missions grow to be important to the world.
The people who build the missions came from Spain to spread their religion.
I studied about mission Santa Crus. All the missions are all found on a road: El Camino Real.

Owls

We are studying owls because in science we are discovering the animal's food chain. Since owls are carnivores they have sharp beaks to catch their prey.
We are dissecting owl pellets to know what owls eat and dissect. The owl pellet looks a lot like hard dirt.
Owls are large birds that sleep during the day and are awake at night. That is called nocturnal.

First Post

The best thing about an iPod is that it mostly has a lot of neat stuff on it that we could use in class or fun games that we could use in our spare time.

The not so great thing about an iPod is that you can't break it or else it will not work anymore. Also your parents will sometimes tell you not to use it most of the time.
