Garage Band Ideas

One way you can use Garage Band to create podcasts is by having students record their reading strategies. You could set up weekly reading assignments that have students practice using one or several reading strategies per selection. They can take an iPod to their desk to practice making predictions, questioning, summarizing, monitoring and clarifying, evaluating, or infering. They can record their strategy and then import it in iTunes. Finally, bring the track into garage band and save as a podcast.
