We are piloting using Google Apps as a more integrated tool within the district. To that end the district has set up an EUSD Google Education Account Domain. This functions much like a regular Google account, except that EUSD has a lot more control over pieces of it and the information within the account is more secure.
Currently about 150 adminstrators, coaches, and teachers have access to this EUSD Google Apps.
Some differences:
- An account must be set up for a user by the district - you cannot create your own account.
- The login for this account has the login name/password on the left side of the page (see below).
- For regular Google accounts the login page has the name/password on the right (see below)
- To login to the EUSD Google Apps, Go to the EUSD homepage and click on Staff > EUSD Google Apps.
- Not all of Google's Apps are included in the district account - for instance there is no access to Gmail or Reader. The tools may added in the future.
- Sharing with other users will become easier because we will we will also know each other's account name. We will also eventually have access to groups of users.

Instructions below apply to this new account only.
Many people have their main calendar information in iCal. These instructions show you how to:
- Export a calendar from iCal or Sunbird to EUSD's Google Apps, where you can have access to updating it on the web
- Sync iCal or Sunbird and Google, if you want to be able to update the calendars in either place - note OS 10.5x needed for this step.
