We made a lot of neat videos last week. This week we are putting them on our media server. Our media server allows us to show our movies to the school through a web-browser, without putting them on the Internet. We learned that it is not always safe to put kid-made movies on the internet. If you want to see our movies, you have to use a computer at Oak Hill.

Chromakey? What's that? It's the way Hollywood movies make people look like they are standing in a special place, when they are really in front of a green screen. We will use the powerful chromakey feature in the Photobooth application.

Let's use Google Sketch-Up to make 3 dimensional drawings! If you like it you can download it for FREE at home! Do you want to know where to download it?...Google it! :)

Please welcome our guest-teachers Mrs. Dewindt and Miss Fazio. Today we will embark on a journey to learn about online safety by visiting
Disney's Surfswell Island. If you complete the entire game, you can explore the Tux Paint program found in the Applications folder. You may save the pictures you create in your documents folder, but please do not print.

Today we will work with two applications at the same time. First, we will use Photobooth to take ten pictures of ourselves. Try clicking on "Effects 1 and 2" to get creative. Then open Comic Life. Drag panels onto the page, then drag your pictures from Photobooth. Change the orientation of your framed photos by clicking on the circular arrow in the center of the panel. When you are done arranging your photos, drag a text box on the page and type one word or phrase that best describes your collage. Then print it and take it home.

Welcome to Technology Club! Today we will investigate 3 forms of online communication using iChat: text, audio, and video! We will use this program in a controlled setting, meaning we will communicate only with computers at Oak Hill. Remember, you never want to chat with strangers! In addition to chatting, iChat can be used to send files. We will learn how to do this today, so you can turn in your future Technology Club assignments using iChat.
