Saw this recommendation on Classroom 2.0
So, with full disclosure of personal interest and much pride, I recommend the following tools from Tacticality Software: SentenceSpin, a language arts sentence builder. We wrote this to provide an opportunity for kids to "spin" for a sentence they like, get a chance to do some reading, understand that sentences have a beginning, middle and end, and then get the very cool opportunity to draw their sentence on the next screen in living color. For the teacher's sake pictures can be saved into a digital portfolio. We also have the math tools CountBy and TimesBy in the store. To check these out to see if they'd make sense for your classrooms we've made uTube videos which can be found by entering the apps by name or through this address:

Wurdle, not to be confused with Wordle above is a great game the purpose of which is to make words by dragging adjacent letters. It’s $1.99 and my third graders couldn’t get enough of it. Difficulty and appearance are configurable.

Hi,
It looks like Solve24! in your list is no longer in iTunes.
I recently released another version of the 24 math game for the iPhone and iPod Touch called TwentyFour! There are a few iPhone versions out there already, but I felt like they didn't do my favorite game justice. For example, some don't support fractions (some problems need fractions! like 3 3 8 8). And most have very poor UI (Having to type parentheses can be tiresome!).
So, I spend 2 months working on a better version which I'm now proud to share with the world. You can checkout a video demo of my game at http://www.twentyfourgame.com. Enjoy!

We've turned our iPod Touch classroom into a clicker response system using Student Response Network. A Windows computer is needed for the teacher, but all students use the free SRN Client App.
It's brilliant and very affordable for the server (teacher) program - http://studentresponsenetwork.com/2010/01/08/srn-client-for-ipod-touchiphone-coming-soon/

I used to have a Bloomberg Financial System in my classroom. The lease price increased and we lost it. I understand there is a Bloomberg Application o the Pod. What information can you share with me that I can teach the students using that app?

I developed an iPhone / iPad app for Math Flash Cards, I have gotten some pretty amazing feedback from TUAW.com staff writers and Macenstein.com editor. Here is a quick and dirty link to some screen shots / videos - for both versions. My 7 year old uses my app every day! I think it looks amazing, and is super clean. If anyone wants to contact me JSquared@MacSpots.com
Thanks!

Me and my partner have created a couple of learning apps for kids used to help learn their math tables. A lot of learning apps we've seen are kind of complicated for young children, so we have created simple to use apps that have the same function as flash cards with the ability to shuffle and sort. Each app contains the tables 1-12, has backgrounds for boys or girls to choose from, and is great for kids just beginning to learn their math tables. We are always looking for good learning app ideas for kids, so if any one has anything they would like to see, post on here and we can see what most people are looking for.
